Some of Nigeria’s brightest stars
have been penciled down for a mega concert, Slide and Bounce, being
planned from August 29 by the country’s National Telecommunications company,
Globacom.
The event is slated for
Ikeja, Lagos, in addition to 10 other locations across the country.
According to a statement released by Globacom in Lagos on Monday, the
show is aimed at delighting Globacom’s subscribers in all the selected
locations and adjoining cities and towns.
The locations earmarked to
host the reloaded Glo Slide and Bounce concert include
Ikeja, Ikorodu, Surulere, Egbeda and Victoria Island in
Lagos; Ibadan; Port Harcourt; Abeokuta; Ijebu
Ode; Benin and Abuja.
Globacom listed the high
profile slated to entertain guests at the concert to include the
PSquare, Wizkid, Flavour, D'banj, Wande Coal, Korede Bello,
MI, Burna Boy, Bez, Dija and Edem. Also performing are Kakee from Ghana,
and Sessime from Benin Republic. DJ Xgee, DJ Neptune, DJ Tops and DJ Jimmy
Jatt will provide disk jockey services.
To anchor the concert, the
trio of Gbenga Adeyinka, Okey Bakassi and Jimmie De Hype have been engaged by
the company.
Subscribers who
are interested in attending the shows in any of the listed locations to
are required to use N2,000 and above within one month and send,
"YES" and their preferred event location to a short code,
30188. For example, "YES IBADAN" to 30188.
Globacom also said that the
first 100 fun seekers to arrive at the various venues will have a
photo session with Glo superstars such as Mama G, Funke Akindele, Odulade Adekola,
Mr. Ibu, Chiwetalu Agu, Ini Edo. They will also enjoy branded gift items
from Globacom.
