Shortly after his big feature on Drake’s latest single, One Dance, Essence has announced that Nigerian star singer; Wizkid will be part of the annual Essence festival line up which will hold in New Orleans Louisiana between June 30 and July 3. This is a strong platform for Wizkid! StarBoy is moving so fast! Just days after the release of Drake‘s One Dance official single featuring Wizkid which made it to #2 on iTunes USA and #1 in several countries. Other artists slated to perform during the Essence festival include Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar, Maxwell, and our adopted Nigerian sister, Ciara. “The ESSENCE Festival is back in New Orleans with an extraordinary roster of the biggest names and best performers in entertainment—from global music icons to the industry’s rising stars, we are welcoming Mariah Carey, Kendrick Lamar and Maxwell to headline the Superdome main stage.
