Nigerian youngster Alex Iwobi has agreed a new deal that will keep him at Arsenal until 2021, the Mirror claims.
According
to mirror.co.uk, Super Eagles star Iwobi, 19, signed a five-year contract which
is believed to be in the region of £30,000 a week.
Only
last October, Iwobi put pen to paper in a deal understood to be worth up to
£10,000-a-week, and was due to run until 2019.
Iwobi,
who got promoted into Arsenal’s first team from the youth side this season, has
become a regular since the turn of the year.
He has
started four of the last five games for Arsenal and followed up his first goal
against Everton with another strike against Watford in a 4-0 victory on
Saturday.
He
also became a full Nigerian international, after featuring in both legs of the
2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt.
