After a
rigorous screening and painstaking selection process that saw 20 finalists emerging
alongside additional 5 finalists selected from the audition held in Accra,
Ghana for the very first time and together with 15 finalists from the Port
Harcourt and Lagos auditions, the stage is set for another epoch-making event
as the grand finale of the 2nd MISS KANEKALON will be coming
up on 12th November, 2016 in Lagos, Nigeria.
According
to the organizers of this one-of-its-kind pageant, this year’s event will be a memorable one as there will
be various entertainments to spice up the event and guests will have the unique
opportunities to smile home with various gift items. Guests will also be
thrilled by performances from top musical acts and comedians. There will also
be an exclusive hair show that will showcase talents and creativity, and latest
hair styles.
The
finalists will be using KANEKALON’s braids to create beautiful hair styles and will be working around this
year’s theme
which is: “Bringing out
the individual Natural beauty and elegance of the African woman”; a suitable
theme for this hair and beauty pageant.
The Miss KANEKALON 2015 finals
held at Landmark Event Center, Lekki, Lagos on 14th November 2015 saw Ms. Esther Chukwujekwu emerged as the
first Miss Kanekalon winner, taking
home N2m, a 2015 brand new Toyota Yaris, and a 1 year modeling contract. The 1st runner up Ms. Abisola won for
herself N1.5m with a 60” LED TV while Ms. Elma the 2nd
runner up went home with N1m. The 3 winners were also featured KANEKALON new TVC, went on to give
talks at universities, salons, and even traveled to Kenya as brand ambassadors.
Ever since its introduction in the
Nigerian market in 1987 and 1990 in Ghana, KANEKALON has maintained its attitude of contributing to the beauty
of African women by introducing beautiful, high quality, and safe hair
extensions. It is also worthy of note
that KANEKALON started its communication
in Nigeria in 2010, the year the country celebrated her 50th Anniversary of Independence and a milestone
