Chidinma has been announced as the first female
artist to ever top the MTV
Base Official Naija Top 10 charts. The stunning video for “E Mi Ni
Baller” which was shot by ace cinematographer, Clarence Petersand featured
label mates, Tha Suspect and Illbliss,
has kicked out P-Square’s “Personally” off the top spot.
Big Friday Show host, Basketmouth is this week’s special
guest and joins VJ Ehis (@SpecialSlim) as they run through the hits and misses
in this week’s chart.
The Okoye twins drop one place to number 2 while
the Koko Master himself, D’Banj, continues to nip at their heels from
the number 3 position with “Don’t
Tell Me Nonsense”.
Last week’s studio guest, Burna
Boy, stays solid at number 4 with “Run
My Race”.
This week’s highest climber is Timaya who moves up two places to number 6
with “Ekoloma Demba” while DJ Xclusive continues to make upward progress,
rising one place to number 5 with “No
Time”.
Wande Coal’s former number one “The Kick” hung on
tight but still fell from number 3 this week to number 7. BET Award winner Ice Prince drops down to number 9 and 2Face is valiantly holding onto the
number 10 slot with “Rainbow” for the second week running.
This week’s charts has been put
together by an elite panel of judges comprising Nigerian broadcasters, music
specialists and tastemakers, working with MTV
Base to pick the winners and
