Nigeria’s sensational
artiste, Chinedum Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, and Ghana’s soul music
singer, Efya, are scheduled to perform at the grand finale of Glo X Factor
scheduled for next week.
A
statement by national telecommunications operator, Globacom, company which
brought X Factor to Africa for the first time, said the performance of the two
artistes is part of the highlights of the grand finale at which the winner of
Globacom’s N24m and a recording contract with Sony Music will emerge. The acts
left in the chase are Vicky, Eshun, DJ Switch and Princess Pat.
The finals of the
show will be attended by media and entertainment celebrities and will be held
at Dream Studios, Bamako Street, Omole, Lagos.

Flavour began his
music career in 2002, when he joined a band as a drummer. But went solo in 2004
and has since then collaborated with artistes like MI, Fally Ipupa, MC Lophe,
Mr Raw, Bracket and Tiwa Savage. After two hugely successful albums, N’abania
(2008) and Uplifted (2010), Flavour has become one of Africa’s most celebrated
artistes. His “Nwa baby”, “Oyi” and “Ada Nma” tracks are among his most popular
songs.
Efya is a
powerful female vocalist and used to be known as ‘Jane’, one part of the
musical duo, ‘Irene and Jane’ before she went solo as ‘Efya’. She has hit
tracks to her credit including “Little things” and has had several
collaborations with Ghanaian superstar, Sarkodie.
Viewers can watch
their performances as well as the crowning of the Glo X Factor winner on Saturday at 6.00
p.m. on AIT and at 7.00
p.m. on Soundcity, STV and AMC and at 8.00 p.m. on V Channel.
The show will
also be broadcast on Sundays on NTA at 5.00 p.m., WAP TV at 6.00 p.m., ONTV and
Real TV at 7.00 p.m. as well as on TVC at 8.30 p.m. and Kennis Music at 9.30 p.m.
